Tour Plan

Day 1: Agadir - Marrakech :

Your 12 days tour from Agadir is started with a convenient morning pick-up. We next move out of the City of Agadir by the highway, going north eastward towards the Imperial City of Marrakech.

The landscape is then dramatically transformed and the coastal plains are substituted by the origins of the High Atlas foothills. At last we arrive at the Red City that is Marrakech. You will be checking into your luxurious, hand-picked riad, a piece of serenity in the river of the busy medina, and will have a calming down evening, as you gear up to the wonders that will engulf you in the remaining 12 days sightseeing tour within Agadir.

Day 2: Marrakech City Tour :

Having eaten Moroccan breakfast at your riad, a professional local guide will pick you up to immerse in the history and culture of Marrakech. Firstly, we visit the Koutoubia Mosque minaret that towers high and the peaceful beauty of the Bahia Palace with its complex architecture.

Then we stroll through the small and bright streets of the souks, and I urge you to appeal to all your senses, to the smell of the spices, the noise of the metalworkers, the touch of the fine leather. Lastly, it end with the electric charge of the Djemaa El-Fna square, as the storyteller and the food booths vegetate at sunset. I recall the smoke in the air and the smell of roasting meat- this was one of the highlight of this luxury tours Marrakech experience.

Day 3: Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat :

Breakfast, and then over to the Atlantic in a northerly direction. We come first to Casablanca, the capital and the economic centre of Morocco. We go to the great Hassan II Mosque- it is an architectural masterpiece that was constructed on the sea to some extent, it is really gigantic.

Then we proceed further north to the political capital of Rabat. Next we visit the historical places, such as the unfinished, yet majestic Hassan tower and the adjacent Mausoleum of Mohammed V. At last we enter our expensive hotel at Rabat, where we spend the night, and in the easier, more cultured tone of this seaside Imperial City.

Day 4: Rabat - Chefchaouen :

We go into the mountains after breakfast and a trip to the loveliest Kasbah at Rabat, the Udayas, with its blue and white walls and its peaceful gardens is a quiet retreat. We start off by going through the fertile plains where the Rif Mountains are then starting to ascend.

Second we come to the enchanted Blue Pearl, Chefchaouen. Therefore, the afternoon is free to explore the medina. The wash of blue on the walls is a calming and ethereal light on the town, particularly when the late afternoon sun is shining on the narrow streets. This is one of the special places of visit of nearly every traveler in the Agadir 12 days tour.

Day 5: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes :

After having breakfast in the mountain air of the cool Chefchaouen, we leave the Rift Mountains. The first thing we do is to go on a tour to Roman ruins of Volubilis which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. When you pass through the old pillars and beautiful mosaics, you will always have a deep attachment to the rich history of Morocco that dates back to the Roman Empire.

Then we have a short visit to the Imperial City of Meknes, the Bab Mansour gate. At last, we drive the long distance to the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco Fes. You relax in your luxurious Riad in the medina and you are ready to explore to the fullest tomorrow.

Day 6: Fes City Tour :

To-day is given up to a complete and historical sightseeing excursion through Fes, the eldest of the Imperial Cities. To start with, your professional local guide takes you through the mazes of the medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO site and the largest car-free urban centre in the world.

Then we go to the Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest continuously functioning university in the world) and the colorful Chouara Tannery, where time-honored dyeing of the leather is an old experience and smell! Next, we visit the art of decoration of mosaics at the Nejjarine Fountain. Lastly, you would have the exterior of the Royal Palace and its magnificent brass doors and you would be in the deepest roots of the history of the city in this much-needed leg of your 12 days tour from Agadir.

Day 7: Fes - Merzouga :

On after breakfast start out to the east and leave the Imperial Cities behind you, towards the Sahara. We cross the Middle Atlas Mountains first, and make a halt in the European-style town of Ifrane (Little Switzerland).

Then we head to the expansive beautiful cedar forests around Azrou to watch out on the Barbary Macaques of the area. The next landscape is then revealed as we enter the Ziz Valley, where the huge palm groves, the start of the pre-Saharan, are located. Finally, we reach Merzouga. You swap 4x4 camel and ride to the dunes of Erg Chebbi where you arrive at your gorgeous best luxury camp Merzouga to spend the night in a magical way. It is the Sahara desert tour luxury experience of the dreams!

Day 8: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley :

Rise early before the sun sets and scale a dune and watch the spectacular desert sunrise- a silent, inimitable experience on your desert luxury camp stay in Morocco. We put the sands behind us after the breakfast. At the beginning we go to the market town of Rissani.

Then we head towards the high mountains, reaching to the wonderful Todra Gorges. Our pleasant stroll under the sheer rock walls that are over 300 meters tall is an experience that gives us the sensation of the cool river air. With the last step, we also follow the "Road of 1000 Kasbahs" to the Dades Valley with its unique red rock formations where you have dinner and spend an overnight stay in a beautiful guesthouse.

Day 9: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou :

After holding a breakfast looking down on the Dades Valley we move on westwards. We go, first, across the Valley of Roses, which lies along the route of Kelaat M’Gouna, where in spring time the fragrance of roses is suspended in the air.

Then we reach the film capital of Morocco, Ouarzazate or the Hollywood of Africa. We may pay a brief visit to the Atlas Studios or the Taourirt Kasbah. Lastly there is the grand UNESCO World Heritage Ksar of Ait Benhaddou. An atmospheric highlight of this Agadir 12 days tour is to walk up the winding pathways of this ancient fortified village that has featured so much in the various films.

Day 10: Ait Benhaddou - Taroudant - Agadir :

It is a farewell breakfast, after which we are off on our journey back to the coast. First of all, we pass the mountains of the dramatic High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass- the sights at the top are literally breathtaking.

Then we go down the western side, and enter the ancient walled town of Taroudant. Our last drive is then followed by time to explore this rich town, usually referred to as Little Marrakech. And then we are in Agadir itself, where we enter your preferred high-end hotel, which we have just traversed the whole of the country nearly.

Day 11: Agadir City Tour :

Have equal time to enjoy a relaxing breakfast and be relieved of the lengthy road journeys. We begin by first visiting Agadir, then a sightseeing of the highest point of the city, which is the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella. Despite the devastation caused by the 1960 earthquake, the ruins provide the best panoramic sights of the city and the largest sardine port in the globe.

Then, we will plunge into the local atmosphere and visit one of the largest and most lively markets in Morocco, the Souk El Had. Lastly we go to the reconstructed Medina of Coco Polizzi which is a beautifully built replica of the old medina, which displays the architectural history of Morocco. This day is a contrast of a relaxing coastline to the desert and Imperial Cities.

And today you will end your memorable 12 days tour that started in Agadir. Have a last breakfast at the hotel in Morocco.
