Day 1: Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Merzouga Desert Camp :

Your 4-Day Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga starts with your accommodation being picked with a comfortable morning to spend. On the first day we at once head south, over the Anti-Atlas; and down into the great, beautiful Draa Valley. The landscape is a green ribbon of giant size--a splendid oasis between the dry mountains.

Then we move through the old-fashioned ksour (fortified villages) and old towns such as Nkob, experiencing the past of the caravan roads. We move on further, beyond Rissani, the historical seat of the Alaouite dynasty. Finally, we reach Merzouga. You ride your camel guide through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset all the way to your beautiful best luxury camp in Sahara Morocco where you eat a dinner and spend the night partying with stars.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Exploration & Nomad Life :

The day is spent in an extensive, unrushed immersion in the desert region of Merzouga, which is a feature of this luxury desert tour of Morocco. To begin with, you get up early in the morning and visit a dune to see the splendid Sahara sunrise, the silence is very deep. You have breakfast in the camp, and then a 4x4 awaits you.

We then proceed round the base of the Erg Chebbi dunes. We pull up into a small village of Khamlia where you witness a breathtaking performance of local Gnawa music and experience the mighty beats. Next, we find local nomadic families of the Berber, enjoying tea and hearing their lifestyle of survival in the desert, which is indeed a cultural experience. The last thing that you enjoy is a second night in the dunes, either in the Morocco desert luxury camp, or a luxurious hotel in the country and enjoy the serenity.

Day 3: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley :

After breakfast and last farewell look at the great dunes, we then head to the west, leading to the mountains. To begin with, we go through Erfoud, known by its old fossils. We proceed to the wonderful Todra Gorges.

Then we go strolling in the gorge, enclosed by the high and mighty cliffs which seem to almost nearly reach out to us--I always feel how cooler it is here. Next, we head to the Dades Valley, where the winding road is a singularity and the rock formations are very dramatic and are frequently referred to as monkey fingers. We spend the night and have dinner in a lovely old fashioned guesthouse in the middle of the valley enjoying the beautiful scenic view with its rugged edges.

Day 4: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate :

On this 4-Day Desert Tour, the best you could ever have in Ouarzazate to Merzouga, your last day would be breakfast and sightseeing. We pass by the scenic Rose Valley, first to Kalaat Mgouna, the rose products hub of Morocco. It smells of the fragrance of the roses, and you can also see the local cooperatives which make rosewater and oils.

Then we go on to the gorgeous Skoura Oasis, where ancient kasbahs are proudly placed in the midst of the giant palm-trees,--a view which really does seem to be eternal. At last we are heading back to Ouarzazate, as the Hollywood of Africa, and we arrive in the afternoon. Your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport, leaving behind you a treasure trove of memorable moments of your soul-searching in the deep desert.
