Erg Chebbi is Morocco's most famous sea of sand dunes, next to the village of Merzouga in the south-east of the country, near the Algerian border.
Merzouga is about 550 km from Marrakech and about 470 km from Fes, so the camp is usually part of a private tour of 2 days or more. The last part to the camp is by camel or by 4x4 across the dunes.
