Over the course of eight days, travelers will explore celebrated destinations such as Marrakech, the ancient Ait Ben Haddou kasbahs, the palm-filled Skoura Oasis, the dramatic Dades and Todra Gorges, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas Mountains, including waterfalls and traditional Berber villages.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech :

Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local guide with flowers and bottled water. Enjoy a private transfer to your riad located in the heart of the medina or to a villa outside the city, depending on your preference. Time to relax and settle in after your journey.

Day 2: Marrakech City Discovery :

After breakfast, enjoy a guided half-day tour of Marrakech, exploring its most emblematic historical and cultural sites. Highlights include the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Gardens, traditional souks, and the lively Jemaa El Fna square. Wander through the ancient medina with its decorative gates, historic walls, and vibrant daily life.

In the afternoon, you may opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride or visit the Majorelle Garden (optional, extra). The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges (360 km) :

Depart Marrakech in the morning in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and journey south across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco. Enjoy panoramic views of mountain landscapes and Berber villages, with stops along the way for photos and refreshments.

Continue toward the historic kasbah of Telouet before visiting the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village famous for its role in international film productions. Travel onward to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, then follow the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Rose Valley before reaching the Dades Gorges.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi (170 km) :

After breakfast, depart toward the impressive Todra Gorges for a short walk through the canyon. Continue your journey through desert towns including Tinjdad, Erfoud, and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga.

In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset over the golden sands before reaching your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, music around the campfire, and a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate (360 km) :

Rise early to witness sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Ride camels back to Merzouga and continue by vehicle through Alnif and Tazzarine toward the lush Draa Valley. Take time to explore palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and the historic Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdez.

Cross the Tizi n’Ait Saoun Pass before reaching Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Taliouine – Imlil Valley (High Atlas Mountains) :

After breakfast, drive through Taliouine to visit a Berber women’s carpet-weaving cooperative, showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Continue to a local saffron cooperative to learn about Morocco’s most precious spice.

Travel through the scenic Tizi n’Test Pass, descending toward Asni and finally reaching the village of Imlil in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Optional visit to a women’s mountain association to gain insight into daily life and work of Berber women in the region.

Day 7: Imlil Valley – Marrakech :

After breakfast, set off on a guided trek through Berber villages, waterfalls, and pine forests. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak, and the surrounding valleys. Lunch will be served by the river before returning to the riad in the afternoon.

Optional activities include a visit to a women-led argan oil cooperative or a traditional Berber hammam experience at the riad. Later in the day, transfer back to Marrakech.

Day 8: Departure from Marrakech :

According to your flight schedule, enjoy a private transfer to Marrakech Airport for your departure. We wish you a safe journey home and wonderful memories of Morocco.
